Few years back, many people in Nepal used to blame Department of hydrology and meteorology for not forecasting weather report correctly. Some even used to say 'the forecast should consider just opposite'. People lost the faith on the forecast due to the fact that the forecasted 'sunny days' turned in to 'rainy' at the end of the day.
Now there are many internet websites who forecast weather reports every hour and even for next two weeks. I am not sure how accurate are the forecast but they must be having a large data set for this.
I found a Norwegian website (http://www.yr.no/) which claims of having weather information of about seven million places in the world. While checking the site, I also found most of the popular places of Nepal. It could be very informative for local people, farmers, tourists and or research scholars. For agricultural purpose, Nepalese farmers at present do not have access to internet to check the weather condition and act accordingly. The department of hydrology and meteorology in Nepal has also improved its data base and also updating in its website, http://www.mfd.gov.np/index.php though it does not include places of Nepal like the Norwegian site. You can check the forecast of both sites yourself and validate in real situation. I will be looking for your responses.
